What can I say.....

When we adopted our kitty back in November, Jason rubber her belly then asked me if I was sure she was really spade. I asked the Shelter Manager the next week and she told me all her animals were spade or nuetered. She informed me that the cats weren't even allowed in the cat room together until they had surgery. My kitty was born at the shelter and had been living in the cat room for the last 3 months.

It all started last Tuesday. My little kitty howled for 24 hrs straight. Tuesday afternoon I noticed she kept kneading the ground with her butt in the air. I gave the shelter a call to find out if they had her medical records. The lady sounded worried but told me all their animals were spade and neutered and that she would look up Belle and get back to me in the morning. After two more nights of no sleep I called her again to find out that she was now concerned that they missed my kitty. Jason took Belle to the vet Friday to find out that she hasn't been spade!!! We have an appointment Wednesday for her surgery. I called my brother to tell him the strange news in which he replied "at least you got the sex right this time!".

My first adoption was of a 50 lb furry female mutt I named Roxy. She was sweet, squat when she peed, and did I mention....furry? It took a few days until my sister-in-law was rubbing Roxy's tummy for us to realize Roxy wasn't a female!!!! Needless to say I changed his name. :)
