Dinner tonight went something like this:
Madison has been saying that everything is "salty". I put a little salt on her dinner plate so she could taste what "salty" actually is. She LOVED it and kept asking for more. Shortly after we started eating Jason burped loudly then laughed. Madison thought it looked like fun so she spent the next few minutes pretend burping. She finally stopped and we continued to eat. All of the sudden Madison looked at our cat and said "Belle you hussy!" Let me state that I NEVER use that word! Jason's face turned red and he tried to muffle a laugh. "Belle you hussy! You hussy Belle!" she continued. I finally had to put my head down so she wouldn't see me laugh. "Belle is a hussy! Mama's a hussy! You a hussy Mama!" I had to leave the room at that point. I finally came back and Madison gave me a serious look and said "I'm not mad at you Mama". I told her it was mean to say "hussy" and only mean people like "the mean queen" (Snow White) and the mean sisters (Cinderella) say things like hussy. Madison replied "and me!" Then she smiled and said "Dang it! Dang it!"
A few other phrases she has picked up over the last few weeks are:
"Oh my gosh"
"Holy Cow"
"This is funky"
"Awesome"
"Cool"
"Oopsy Daisy"
Life in our home is never boring.....
