Okay, so let me start off by saying that I'm sure I will eat my words some day but as of right now I am definitely not a small town girl! I had decided I could do it for a few years (live in a small town) but I had never imagined my current situation. I arrived two weeks ago w/Madison, Alissa, and Staci. We were w/out a dryer, phone, internet, cable, and garbage. The a/c and fridge/freezer were on the brink and the house still needed to be put together. Aside from the madness we had fun swimming in the pool and lake. Plus we got to spend a day in Kalispell and have dinner w/Jared in Whitefish. Madison had so much fun with everyone. Alissa left on Thursday and Staci left Friday day. Friday afternoon was when Jason broke his arm and the fun really began. Since Jason needs to see an orthopedic surgeon we get to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to see the doctor. Our fridge needs to be replaced but they can't find someone to deliver it to Polson. The weather has been cold and rainy and there is nowhere to go indoors for Maddy to play. Today is the first day since Alissa left that Madison got to play with other children. It was at McDonalds and the families car had a sticker that said "I was kicked out of boy scouts for eating a brownie".......oh, and the dad had a mullet :) We have a Walmart but I would say it is the equivalent of a Kmart. I guess I am painting a grim picture. In all honesty this is a dream place to vacation. We live right on the golf course and right next to the lake. Deer even poop in our yard!
Jason's pain killers make him either out of it, dead asleep, or vomiting. Madison has been teething and wakes up an average of 3+ times a night (many nights we watch the entire Shrek II from about 12am-2am) and Shasta makes sure to wake me at least once a night. I am low on sleep and miss my friends and family. I guess it can only get better. ...

Cortney I am so sorry that you are having a rough time. I really wish that I could be there to help you out. I would even fly out to help you if I could. I miss yall so much.
Keep your chin up...things can only get better, right?! Hope Jason is feeling better soon and good luck to him with recovery/healing.
You're right-things can only get better!!! I am so sorry things are rotten right now. Good luck with everything!! Wish I could somehow help...
Awww, Cort! This is sad news! I'm sure things will start looking up soon though! We miss you out here, like that makes you feel any better though... I hope Jason starts to feel better soon too. And poor Maddy, teething is no fun at all! have you tried giving her teething tablets? I always gave Cammers Ibprofin. (I'm a naughty mommy, though!) Good luck sweetie.
Oh Cortney...I'm so sorry. This just seems like a post from my blog. Things will get better. Dave wants to come visit and fish with Jason. We miss you! Maybe we can plan a trip some time soon.
