Jason and Madison

Jason and Madison were rocking out to "Candle Box". Madison loves goofing off with Dad!

While I was at the gym the other day I read an article in Parenting titled "Why Dad's Parenting Technique Can Be Better"
By Emily Bloch. It made me feel a little more justified for how protective I am over Madison but it also made me realize that Jasons more laid back fun approach to parenting is just as good.

Why moms are different: Renner has a theory about why many mothers tend to flinch when their kids are on the monkey bars: "Moms form a protective attachment to their babies during pregnancy, when we're so focused on having a healthy and safe child that we give up all sorts of risky behavior ourselves. I think some of the instinctive protectiveness comes from this."
"If kids don't experience somewhat risky physical fun, it might make them more cautious and less willing to try things they haven't quite mastered yet," says Kyle Pruett.

So while I will never put a lighter in my child's hand and dance around to music, Madison was safe and really enjoyed her time with Daddy.

Love the lighter. Dads are the best.
